Literacy Stations are a huge part of your classroom's daily activities. It is important to be creative with your centers so your students are entertained as well as progressing. Obviously age appropriateness is important, different grades will require different levels of activities. Here are a few sites for tips on setting up literacy centers in the classroom.

The first website is a document organized of the process you can complete for creating your station. It covers what types of stations you should have, how it should be organized, and other information you can include in your stations. The second link is a blog post to a teacher who has a kindergarten classroom in Massachusetts. I really enjoyed looking at her materials, my favorite were the "I Can" charts located at the do it yourself centers. Those are for the children if they are unsure on how to get started with their center and to also provide confidence as well! She also added in some helpful classroom management skills to use during these centers that can provide for a productive classroom.
